SQL Databases
SQL Databases are the prefered means of storing and retreiving data for today's business
applications. Three databases control this market: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and
mySQL. Of these, our favorite by far is mySQL.
It's reputation is unsurpased when it comes to platform, price, performance,
stability, and ease of implementation. It is well suited for both desktop/network applications as well as internet applications.
mySQL's extremely low cost and excellent storage and retreival capabilities make it the perfect
choice for most applications. Some distinguishing features of mySQL are: it is public
domain therefore it is almost free, it has a very large and active developer community, and it
has a large and growing customer base with very large systems.
