Website Examples
The sites below are sites that we have had significant responsibilities for.
-
SwimmerLogBook.com
NIS is currently developing SwimmersLogBook.com. This site will help improve
communication and record keeping in the sport of swimming.
Its primary users will be swimmers, parents, coaches, team administrators, and
board members.
Some of the features of SwimmersLogBook.com include the ability for swimmers, parents,
and coaches to record past swim times, update or check the team calendar, set personal
goals, communicate with team members, coaches, and parents, and post swim meet entry
forms. Additionally, administrators can track membership and dues, setup
message forums, publish team rosters and even setup an online team store.

SPMA.net
NIS recently finished re-developing SPMA.net. SPMA is a non-profit organization
which represents over 3000 competitive swimmers in southern California and western Nevada.
Over the years many people have worked on their website and it had become very dated as well as
disorganized. NIS brought a professional touch to the site and implemented a fresh new layout,
new drop-down menus, professional graphics, and database interactivity.

NaplesIslandSwim.com
NIS developed a website for the 2007 Naples Island Swim.
The event was hosted by the
Long Beach Grunions
swim team on July 29, 2007. As the name "Naples Island Swim" is so well know, the Grunions decided
to register the domain and create a site especially for this event.
Please note that we did not develop or host the 2008 site as they've turned to one of their fantastic volunteers
to host and develop the site. Go Grunions!!! IGL!

LakeBlackshearInfo.com Blog
LakeBlakshearInfo.com is a local web portal used by local businesses and
organization to get information regarding their events and services out
to the general public.
This site is in the form of a blog and is updated by it's webmaster without
any extra programming on our part.
Be sure to go to this site as
the photograph on the main page was taken from the front yard at Allen's
family cabin. The sunrise is truly breathtaking.

Noteworthy Property Inspections
We are in the process of developing the ColdFusion inspection booking and inspection
retreival pages for this Home Inspector located in Long Beach, CA.
mySQL is used for data storage. Pay special attention to their
inspection
request form.
This is also one of the sites that we act as development advisors for.
This client wants to do the development on the site themselves in FrontPage and we
act as guide for adding new features and technology to the site.

Long Beach Museum of Art
Sometime around 1998, we were contacted by the Long Beach Museum of Art
to develop a website for their grand re-opening scheduled for September 2000.
The thumbnail to the right represents that site. The grand
re-opening took place and the site has long since been taken down.
Note: We no did not develop their current site.

Nance Travel Services
Kevin Notrica at Nance Travel
wanted to have a web site where he could promote his monthly travel specials.
While at diner one evening at a local restaurant, he saw our
television commercial.
The following day he caught it again, picked up the phone, and the rest is
history.
Nance was not just a web customer. We also designed, installed, and
maintained their computer network. Kevin has since sold Nance Travel but we
still keep in contact. If you wish his entire site can be viewed in our
password protected section of our site.

Long Beach PFLAG
We've been involved with the Long Beach chapter of PFLAG since 1991. PFLAG is a large
national organization and stands for Parents, Family, and Friends of Lesbians and
Gays. PFLAG's main goal is to eliminate discrimination based on sexual
orientation. We have been hosting and maintaining the Long Beach chapter's
website since it was created in 1999. Recently, a new webmaster volunteered to develop
a new site. Their site is now hosted and developed elsewhere but we continue to fully
support their work. We are proud to have developed and maintained their first website for
over 8 years.

Allen Highnote's Blog
Ok, I did not write the programs used for this blog and it is very unlikely that
I designed its current theme. I change themes more often that I change
my socks. What can I say? They're free! See
http://themes.wordpress.net for more
information. So what does this blog show? It shows my love
for computer programming, the internet, swimming, writing, my spouse, family, and
life.

Noteworthy Information Systems
Well, what would you expect? This is the third or fourth incarnation of
our site. Each version has gotten a little more sophisticated than
the previous. Some of the more interesting features of our site
are: ColdFusion is used to make changes much easier than
html. See our Demo Page for more
details. mySQL is used to store data in SQL tables.
AlphaButton was used to generate ALL of our headers and buttons.
Buttons characteristics like color, shape, size, and text can be globally
changed at the drop of a hat.
